Description

This LTE Cat 1bis Cellular IoT IP delivers low-power, global connectivity for cost-sensitive IoT and M2M devices requiring higher throughput than LTE-M and NB-IoT. Its single-receive-antenna architecture reduces RF front-end, antenna and PCB complexity while supporting data rates of up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink.

 

The configurable solution includes RF transceiver IP, Cat 1bis modem and baseband, carrier-grade L2/L3 protocol stack, application interfaces and integration support. These components can be licensed individually or delivered through joint-development and turnkey SoC models.

A single-carrier RF transceiver option is available in TSMC 22nm ULL, covering 450 MHz to 5 GHz with bandwidths up to 20 MHz. Support for PSM, eDRX, GNSS and SIM/eSIM integration enables applications such as asset tracking, telematics, payments, security, industrial IoT and smart-city infrastructure. The platform also provides a migration path toward 5G eRedCap with Cat 1bis fallback.
